Generous Social Security Raise? Beware Medicare.

Maurie Backman notes some key points related to what seniors will face come January 2022 regarding Social Security and Medicare.  Medicare Part A is free for most enrollees, but Part B comes with monthly premium that aren’t set in stone.  In 2022, Part B premiums will see their largest hike in years to $170.10 per month, an increase of $29.60 from 2021.  That hike is well more than what the Medicare trustees estimated in their annual report released in August.  Read Backman’s full piece here.
