Halloween’s Approaching, and Here’s Some Scary Stats (About Social Security, Anyway!)

ThinkAdvisor’s Ginger Szala, in the spirit of the pre-Halloween days, takes a look at some fairly tormenting statistics about our Social Security program in an article posted on their website. Ranging from trust funds potentially running dry in little more than a decade to some frightening projections about concerns people have about medical costs in retirement, declining life expectancy and birth rates, the statistics (there are 13 addressed in this briefing) kind of cast a shroud over what should be a cheerful matter: the golden years of retirement.
