Health savings account remains an underutilized retirement savings vehicle

According to recent Charles Schwab survey, 77 percent of the respondents said their employer offers a health savings account, but only 45 percent report using theirs.  This makes health savings account (HSA) one of the most underutilized retirement savings vehicles. Although HSAs were not designed as a retirement savings account, but it’s pre and post retirement advantages make it well suited to the task, nonetheless.  In Kailey Hagen’s article appearing on www.kenoshanews.com, she reviews how a HSA works and the benefits of having a health savings account.
