A Not-So-Gentle Call to Action on Social Security Insolvency

It took place in a House Ways and Means Committee hearing earlier this month, actually the day after release of the 2026 Social Security Trustees Report to the President and Congress on the program’s financial status and the rapidly depleting trust fund reserves. The comment popped up today, highlighted in our batch of Google Alerts, and we think it’s appropriate to call attention to it, given the volume of news articles expressing concern over Social Security’s looming disaster.
