Social Security has a new Commissioner!

The U.S. Senate voted to confirm Fran Bisignano as Social Security Administration Commissioner yesterday. Bisignano becomes the 18th commissioner of the massive organization serving more than 73 million Americans. As expected, the confirmation vote proceeded along party lines, despite Monday’s opposition rally (see yesterday’s post here).
