How Boomer Debt Affects Millennials
Millennials have been shying away from accruing debt thus far so as to not compound with their already staggering student debts. Millennials watched throughout the recession how crippling defaults and bankruptcies could be and have since steered away from amassing any more debt than they had to. This is in direct contradiction to what the Boomer generations have been doing, however, who have been borrowing as much as ever. The trend with Millennials is not expected to last throughout their lives, as they grow older it is predicted that they will start taking on more debt as they begin entering the housing and real estate markets.
