Actuaries in the U.S, U.K., and Australia surveyed nearly 3,000 working-age adults about the various issues in planning for retirement, finding that longevity risk was the least understood part of their thinking for the years ahead. Only half of the survey respondents had actually planned for the possibility of a longer-than-expected life.
