Looking at “Retirement” Differently

Forbes contributor Prudy Gourguechon, in a post on www.forbes.com, challenges the very definition of the word “retirement,” labeling it as “destructive” and “remarkably poor” in terms of its applicability to today’s thinking. Espousing the replacement phrase “starting older,” she notes that today’s longer life spans and healthier aging lead to a need to remain productive as long as possible, rather than equating retirement with a withdrawal from whatever brought them to this life phase.  Read her post here…
