Christy Bieber notes a number of moves seniors can make to achieve a richer retirement.  They include claiming tax breaks for retirement savings like IRAs and 401k plans and even the saver’s credit.  Two is minimize your retirement tax bill.  Three is maximize your Social Security checks.  This can be achieved by waiting, as every month delayed beyond 62 will yield a higher monthly benefit.  Waiting from full retirement age (now 66-67) to age 70 brings an 8% annual bump in benefits by delaying.  Full piece here.
