But the reality is that many people, for a variety of reasons, do not have the luxury of delaying their Social Security benefits in order to maximize it. Life is filled with uncertainties and your financial status, as well as your health and life expectancy should be considered before deciding when to claim. And, sometimes, claiming Social Security early can provide the ability to enjoy travel or otherwise fulfill your bucket list.
