Medicare enrollment window is coming up. It’s a good time to review your healthcare needs.

With the annual Medicare open enrollment period just around the corner, now is a good time for seniors to take a look at their healthcare needs.  If you’re just approaching or just became 65, you can enroll anytime within 3 months before and 3 months after your birthday month.  But if you’re already on Medicare, the open enrollment period (Oct. 15th – Dec. 7th, 2016) is when you should review what you have and if you need any changes to your coverage.  With options such as “original Medicare”, Medicare Supplements, and Medicare Advantage plans, plus Part D prescription drug plans, you do have many options.  And when making your choice, you should make sure you know what Medicare does – and does not – cover.  This Queens Chronicle article by Mark Lord provides details you may need to make an informed decision.  Click here to read more.
