Medicare in the Wake of Baby Boomers

Baby Boomers are putting a strain on the Medicare system and continue to add to that at a rate of 10,000 a day as they reach the age of 65. However, many experts think this is not the demographic to be concerned about when looking at what challenges Medicare will have to overcome. Experts are saying the things to look out for that are on the rise are instances of chronic disease as well as the cultural trend of how some ethnicities prefer to care for elderly family members. Trends such as these are rising at a faster rate and put a much higher cost per instance on the Medicare system and are things that should have a higher focus put on them in order to keep costs from getting out of control.
