Medicare Open Enrollment During the Pandemic

The upcoming annual Medicare Open Enrollment Period is just around the corner, starting on October 15th and running through December 7th. This is the annual timeframe during which those eligible for Medicare can evaluate and, if appropriate, select a new Medicare Advantage plan (known as Medicare Part C) or a new prescription drug plan (known as Medicare Part D). But during these trying pandemic times, many of the traditional approaches to Open Enrollment may not be available. So, just as so many others have changed their approach to public access, so have the insurance companies and brokers with whom an Open Enrollment dialogue is necessary.
