Medicare’s “Open Enrollment” Period Starts October 15th

This is a time when those who are already on Medicare, including those on so-called “original” Medicare or a Medicare Advantage plan, and those who have prescription drug plan coverage, can reevaluate their current plan and switch to a new plan if desired. Then there’s the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period which runs from January 1 through March 31, with somewhat different restrictions.
