Financial analysts routinely advise clients to work longer as a way to accumulate savings for retirement and, most importantly, to defer filing for Social Security benefits and allow them to grow. According to the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College, there is a relationship between working linger and one’s life expectancy, although it apparently only holds true for males.
