In the scurry to provide information about the Coronavirus and the CARES Act, Social Security recipients have been repeatedly assured that they will receive an “economic impact” payment. And while it’s absolutely true that collecting Social Security doesn’t disqualify you for the stimulus payment and that the vast majority of Social Security beneficiaries will receive the payment, it’s also true that those collecting SS benefits are subject to income clip levels in order to qualify.
