Pop Quiz Time: 13 Things You Need to Know About Social Security
From time to time, we include on this site “refresher” type quizzes covering Social Security basics. It’s always a good time to check your understanding of some of the basics of this critical senior benefit program, since a lack of knowledge at the point of your commitment could create unpleasant surprises for you or, worse, the loss of some benefits from the program. Today, Yahoo!Finance writer Brian J. O’Connor provides an opportunity for you to do a quick knowledge assessment using Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co.’s–a set of 13 fundamental questions that, when posed to 1,500 people between age 55 and age 65, only 1% were able to completely ace.
