  1. My husband’s monthly direct deposits to our joint bank account, continued for months after his death at age 93, in December, 2023. Eventually realizing the mistake, SSA froze our account blocking my access to non SSA funds in the account. I am an 80 year old female, the last survivor of my family. The financial hardships as a result have been monumental. I received eligibility confirmation letter for my Widows Survivorship Benefits which to date i have never received. My husband received the highest benefit amount due to filing to SSA past age 70. Numerous attempts to resolve this situation have produced no results to date. I am not trained in computer usage & that technology has become the foundation for being a non senior citizen friendly form of communication.
