Reed highlights Cornell impact from omnibus spending

U.S. Rep. Tom Reed, R-Corning, said he fought for certain parts of a sweeping spending bill that eliminates the threat of another government shutdown until September. The nearly 1,600-page omnibus spending bill includes all of the federal government’s discretionary spending except mandated spending on permanent programs such as Social Security and Medicare.
