We always look carefully whenever someone claims to have “the best” advice for anything, but this Kiplinger article provides an excellent synopsis of the things you should be looking at for “retirement planning.” From evaluating your life expectancy, to investment strategy, to when it is best to claim Social Security benefits, this article provides guidance for what you should focus on (and not focus on) as you plan for your “golden years.” Included in that is an admonition to “invest in your happiness” – in other words, your money is just a tool which enables you do things that make you happy.
