Retirement Advice from Those Who’ve Achieved It

Word-of-mouth serves so many purposes as we approach decisions during our life journey. It’s often a good idea to look beyond the hype and the pundits to get an unvarnished perspective on how things really work. And that truism also applies to something as important as planning for one’s retirement years.  A new study from the independent Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI), called Retiree Reflections (PDF), applies this theme by collecting the thoughts of more than a thousand American retirees aged 55 to 80 as they reflect on the decisions they made and how things worked out for them.
