Retirement Issues: Location matters (to some)

The choice of a place to spend one’s retirement years is certainly crucial, but for some its viewed as a life-or-death matter. Offering conjecture on the choice of a Florida-style retirement destination, retired 68-year old New Jersey lawyer Frank Politano says “We think that that’s a recipe for death. We don’t want any of that. We reject that. We want to be in the middle of things as long as we can.” Strong opinions aside, the selection of where to retire becomes a matter of personal preference, and individual perspectives vary.
