Retirement savings crisis - Forbes

Is there a retirement savings crisis in America? Yes; according to a recent survey, over three-fourths of Americans agree that there is a retirement savings crisis. Over half of the respondents cited their concerns that they cannot achieve financial security in retirement. There is good reason for Americans to feel this way. A recent population survey by the Census Bureau found over half of Americans 65 and older have incomes of $30,000 or less a year – with 23 percent of those individuals having incomes between $10,000 and $19,999.
