Scammers are out in full force to get your Social Security

It’s a sad commentary on today’s society, but it seems there are no limits to the ends that criminals will go to try to bilk seniors out of money. The most recent scam is one that calls seniors to tell them their Social Security account has been compromised and they must confirm personal information, or even pay a fee to have their account reinstated. As emphasized in the FOX Business News article you should not respond to these calls, nor “press 1” for more information, nor do anything other than hang up and report the call to SSA’s Fraud Hotline at 800-269-0271.
