Should Congress allow temporary Social Security benefits?

In Ric Edelman’s, the chairman and co-founder of Edelman Financial Services, LLC, column for Forbes, he suggest “ that Congress should immediately pass legislation to permit Americans age 62 and older who have not yet started receiving Social Security retirement benefits to do so – with the option of stop those benefits once the COVID-19 crisis ends.” Mr. Edelman continues to say “By tapping the $3 trillion Social Security Trust Fund to support the government’s efforts to aid American families during this crisis, it will be easier for government to target financial support to other households who are also in great need.” The read Mr. Edelman’s column click here…
