Social Security Administration agents often wrong

Although agents at the Social Security Administration aren’t allowed to give advice on claiming strategies, they can sometimes steer you wrong.  Social Security is an extremely complex topic, and SSA’s front line agents – the ones you will deal with when you contact your local office – aren’t always intimately familiar with all of the various options and nuances of the program.  That means that they could inadvertently tell you that a feature you want isn’t available when it actually is, as this Financial Advisor article by Karen Demasters points out.  Click here to see why you shouldn’t just blindly trust Social Security Administration agents’ claiming advice.

Also, if you’re unsure about the various claiming strategies available to you, or if you have any questions about your individual situation under Social Security, note that the AMAC Foundation provides an advisory service to help Americans navigate the complexities of this program.  This free AMAC service is provided by a team of advisors trained and certified by the National Social Security Advisors (NSSA) organization. Learn more about it here…
