The Social Security Administration has announced that it has made considerable progress cleaning up its files, nearly 15 percent of all active SSNs (Social Security Numbers) across approximately 330 million U.S. citizens and nearly 390 million total records. That is a yeoman’s task by any measure, and one which helps the accuracy and integrity o, perhaps, one of the most important files in the nation.
