Social Security Benefit Calculator

My wife and I are each 54, and I used the government social security benefit calculator and it provided estimates for commencing benefits at ages 62, 67, and 70. I understand once benefits commence they are adjusted for cost of living. My question is: are these calculator estimates in today’s dollars or the estimated future dollars. The calculator states I will receive $36k annually starting at age 70 (2029). Would I expect to receive $36k starting in 2029, or would that amount be higher due to COLA over the next 15 years so my initial benefits will be higher?…Read More
