Social Security is in trouble but not all hope is lost

To say that Social Security is the foundation for many elderly retirees is an understatement. About 40 Percent of Older Americans Rely Solely on Social Security for Retirement Income. Unfortunately, this foundation is in trouble and facing depletion of the trust funds in less than 14 years, causing a potential cut to monthly benefits. But hope is not lost; there is still good reason to believe that Social Security will still provide a foundation for most Americans.
