Social Security’s expanded online services

Continuing its efforts to enhance the online capabilities available to Americans, the Social Security Administration (SSA) has announced to New York residents that they can now order replacement Social Security cards online, if they have already created a “My Social Security” account at www.ssa.gov. The SSA has been regularly expanding and promoting its online service capabilities to better accommodate the 62 million people who already receive benefits, as well as the millions of others who have yet to apply.  Of those numbers, over 36 million have already created their online account, from which they can not only get a replacement SSA card but also have access to a plethora of other important information about their Social Security status.
