Like most large Government programs, Social Security is vulnerable to fraud by greedy people looking to scam money any way they can. The good news is that the Social Security Administration is now placing even more focus on preventing fraudulent benefits. But the bad news is that uncovering and preventing such illegal activity is not an easy task. From those who file outright fraudulent claims, to those who work surreptitiously while collecting disability benefits, to those who continue to collect benefits when a relative dies; all of these are essentially stealing from a program that millions of Americans rely on to sustain their well being.
