Social Security’s Online Services

The Social Security Administration is inexorably evolving toward more and more online services, recognizing that in today’s internet-enabled world, many Americans prefer to do business from the comfort of their own home using their home computer or other online devices. Of course, Social Security is still available to do business “the old fashioned way” by either telephone or (after the pandemic) in person at your local Social Security office, but an ever-increasing number of services are available through online media. And that includes many of your personal service needs through your own “My Social Security” account.
