Social Security’s online services mean less wait when you need answers

It’s a fairly common complaint from those who try to call or visit their local Social Security office: The wait times are long and frustrating to get assistance with even the most trivial of needs. In an effort to relieve that frustration for those who need assistance, Social Security has been aggressively expanding its suite of online services, which are a very efficient alternative to waiting at home with a phone glued to your ear or sitting in a crowded Social Security lobby waiting for your number to be called.
