SSA Website Upgrades Driven by Customer Feedback

In an era of improving the customer experience, the Social Security Administration (SSA) has implemented significant improvements to its online presence, as explained by SSA’s acting chief business officer, Eric Powers n an interview with Federal News Network reporter Tom Temin. Check out this federalnewsnetwork.com post capturing the thoughts of SSA in their website redesign. Then, when you have a moment, it would be a good idea to visit the site to see how the changes work for you. In addition to the refreshing layout changes, you’ll see something unlike most websites these days…telephone contact information. So many websites, especially commercial and retail sites, tend to make it virtually impossible to contact them directly, so it’s great to see this feature prominently displayed on the SSA]s contact page.

  1. I cannot get through to you by phone. I see nowhere how to let you know that an SSA/Medicaid recipient has died. How do I do this?

Please accept Our condolences. Please note that the AMAC Foundation is not affiliated with the Social Security Administration. We are unable to provide any direct assistance to you in this matter. We can tell you, however, that in most cases the funeral director will report the person’s death to Social Security. If this hasn’t been done yet, you’ll need to provide the deceased’s Social Security number to the funeral director so they can report the death.
