SSA's Fee Schedule (for outside party requests) - msn.com

The Social Security Administration typically assesses fees on outside parties (not beneficiaries) requesting administrative services, like third-party manual SSN verifications, requests for copies of certain documents, etc. The fees offset the SSA’s costs of providing these services and, as noted in a msn.com post by Paige Cerulli, “are an attempt to ensure that taxpayers don't have to subsidize requests that fall outside of the SSA's main mission.” For more information, and to view a complete list of the updated fee schedule, click here.
