Support for Bipartisan Attention to the TRUST Act

The “Time to Rescue United States’ Trusts (TRUST) Act,” recently introduced by a bipartisan, bicameral contingent of congressional members, potentially opens the door for across-the-aisle cooperation on the financial dilemmas facing several major trust funds, most notably the Combined Social Security Old-Age and Survivors Insurance Trust Fund and Social Security Disability Insurance Trust Fund. One of the Act’s sponsors, Sen. Todd Young, R-Ind., in a post today on insurancenewsnet.com underscores the importance of bipartisan: “The key to long-lasting retirement security policy is through bipartisanship. Otherwise, there’s a real concern that any changes brought on in a purely partisan manner will only be temporary changes.” Read Sen. Young’s post here
