“Telehealth” restrictions may happen later this year with Medicare - NASDAQ

“Telehealth” – meeting with your doctors over the phone or online, came into being earnestly during the pandemic. That’s because of pandemic-induced restrictions and the fear of COVID-19 – restrictions and fears which have large gone by the wayside. Nevertheless, telehealth appointment with our medical service providers are still popular in some quarters, especially in rural areas or where in-person visits to your doctor are difficult.

Telehealth, an approved Medicare service, was scheduled to disappear for most Medicare beneficiaries in 2025, but Medicare extended it for a few months, to the end of March 2025. Now, with a continuing resolution to fund Government operations through September 2025, Medicare also further extended coverage for the use of telehealth services until the fall of this year.
