That Elusive Max Social Security Benefit

You can forget about getting $4,555 per month in Social Security benefits. While that is the current maximum benefit, James Brumley explains the Herculean task it would be to achieve that. One would have to work 35 years or more and earn at or above the max wage cap (currently $160,200) every single one of those years. Then, you’d have to wait until age 70 to claim, something so few actually do. Brumley explains the max benefit a little more in depth in the piece here.
