The Medicare at Home Act - McKnights Home Care
Representative Debbie Dingell (D-MI) and Senator Andy Kim (D-NJ) introduced the Medicare at Home Act. The Medicare at Home Act aims to expand Medicare to include a home care benefit for beneficiaries who need assistance with daily living activities. Currently, Medicare does not cover long-term personal care at home, forcing many families to pay out-of-pocket, spend down into Medicaid, or forgo needed care, which can lead to higher costs through hospitalization or institutionalization.
