The COVID-19 pandemic is, in and of itself, a serious health issue, but the effects the coronavirus has delivered to various areas of the U.S. economy are also weighing heavily on the minds of Americans. This is especially true of America’s seniors, among whom the long-term consequences are just dawning. These consequences include the anticipated impact on future retirees, either those caught in the mathematical quandary caused by the reduced Average Wahe Index so far this year or those laid-off or furloughed and seeing their career averages taking a hit.
