The Retirement Savings Dilemma–A New Perspective

A study conducted recently by ValuePenguin found that “61 percent of U.S. households are enrolled in at least one credit card rewards program, while only 58 percent have money in a retirement savings product.” Maybe it’s a question of short-term benefit vs. long-term, but the implications is that this type of thinking may be symptomatic of what’s been so often reported in the media as a lack of focus on saving for those retirement years.
