The Retirement Savings Scene–At Last Some Positive Signs

Quite a bit has been written about the inadequate levels of retirement savings in the financial plans for future retirees. The predictions have been dire, with the popular notion that current workers are just not taking heed of the warnings that they’ll need to accumulate substantial financial reserves for those “golden years.” Contrary to this notion, however, The Motley Fool’s Christy Bieber reports, in a post on mooresvilletribune.com, some positive news. She notes that the Society of Actuaries, in their recent Aging and Retirement study, suggests that “a surprising number of current retirees are actually pretty happy with their financial situation.” Read her post here, and access the Society’s study report here…
