The Securing a Strong Retirement Act

Congress doesn’t tinker that often with retirement and savings laws, but a new bill has passed the House Ways and Means Committee, called The Securing a Strong Retirement Act.  It is receiving bipartisan support and will be on the House floor soon.  Provisions include these: Automatic Enrollment into company 401k or 403b plans; Student Debt Matching Program; Increasing Catch-Up Limits; Raising the Age of Mandatory Withdrawals to perhaps 75; and Reducing RMD Penalties.  Read more here in this article on kare11.com by Gordon Severson.
