But beyond that, inflation is having a strong impact on retirement planning, and the results of a recent GOBankingRates survey note that fully 74% of respondents report at least some degree of retrenching in the face of what appears to be long-term setbacks in financial planning for retirement. The largest adjustment those looking ahead to their “golden years” are pursuing is accelerating their plans to save additional money while they can, followed closely by re-thinking their retirement date.
