Time for Congress to fix the credit reporting industry

The massive size of the Equifax data breach was stunning, even for the industry “experts” who deal with such issues every day.  The fact is that our credit reporting industry is fundamentally defective and will need Congressional action to get if fixed, in order to avoid more episodes of Equifax-like data breaches and the resulting identity theft damage borne by American consumers.  This Harvard Business Review article by Marc Rotenbery discusses the problems in the credit reporting industry and what Congress should do next to resolve them.  Click here to read more.
