Time to start focusing on Medicare solvency too!

Much is in the news lately about the Social Security trust fund running out of surplus in about 2035 and now is certainly the time to start fixing that problem, as AMAC has been advocating for years.  But not as well publicized is that the Medicare Part A Trust Fund – the one that pays for hospitalization, home health care services, hospice care, and skilled nursing costs – is now projected to go bankrupt by 2028, according to the latest Medicare Trustee’s report.  This Rexford Standard Journal article by Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID) discusses this issue and calls for Congressional action soon.  Click here to read more.
