Wage Gap vs. Wealth Gap: The Impact on Women

The Federal Reserve’s “Survey of Household Economics and Decision making” concludes that in American Households,  ‘more than one-quarter are not doing okay, including more than one-third of black and Hispanic adults” with respect to finances. These are accross-the-board statistics, but what changes when gender differences are brought into the equation? It’s frequently reported in the media that a disparity remains between men and women when it comes to wages, but this should not be confused with “wealth gaps,” a measure which points to an even greater disparity between men and women.
