When to postpone retirement

Maurie Backman says it may make sense to keep working if certain factors pertain your retirement situation.  The shorter you are on savings will likely mean having to work more years, as Social Security only replaces 40% of pre-retirement income.  Similarly if you are saddled with debt, you may have to delay retirement.  But there’s another interesting reason to delay and that is if one has no idea what to do with the free time not working will provide.  Read her piece here.
