Will you be living in poverty when you retire?

According to Teresa Ghilarducci, leading expert on retirement, half of Americans aged 55 and up will retire in poverty living on less than $20,000 a year.  Why?  Americans  losing their jobs and health insurance because of COVID-19,  losing the employer match on their 401(k) contributions and having to tap into retirement savings to cover daily expenses  is hurting Americans on the cusp of retirement more than we thought.  In Howard Gold’s article, he interviews Ms. Ghilarducci on why half of Americans aged 55 and up will be living in poverty or near poverty in their golden years.
