Women and Retirement–The Importance of Strategic Thinking
It’s a statistical fact, women on average live longer than men. And what comes along with that statistic is the corollary that women have a longer period of time for which they need to have living expenses covered. For this reason alone, it’s essential that women pay close attention to financial strategies for their retirement years yet, as Forbes contributor Joel Johnson notes in a post on forbes.com, “Statistically, women lag behind men in planning and saving for retirement.”
